Steven Universe Creator Rebecca Sugar Talks About The Show’s End Theme Love Like You

Ahead of the DVD release of Steven Universe: The Complete First Season in the United States tomorrow (30th January), Gizmodo’s science-fiction and fantasy entertainment news website – io9 has uploaded a clip of the creator of Steven Universe – Rebecca Sugar talking about the show’s emotional end theme.

Music duo – Aivi & Surasshu composed the end theme but the song lacked lyrics, so Rebecca thought of some words of her own, at first she wrote lyrics for the first thirty seconds of the song, but a year later and moving to the next part, she felt what she originally wrote was wrong, she was wrong about not being capable of having her own feelings or not caring about other people because she thought they didn’t care about her.

The DVD boxset will include four DVD discs packed with 52 episodes from Steven Universe: Season One, Behind-the-Scenes Commentary with Series Creator Rebecca Sugar, Never-Before-Seen Music Videos, animatics during the production of season one and a special recording from the Volume One soundtrack listening party.
