Four Day Extended Weekend Hallowe’en Special Programming Event

Airs from Saturday 28th October at 10am.

Get set for a howl-arious Halloween-themed long weekend. The four day special includes spooky new episodes of Regular Show, Teen Titans Go!, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, Uncle Grandpa, We Bare Bears, Justice League Action and Mighty Magiswords.

The Howl-arious special also includes two feature length Scooby Doo movie screenings; Scooby Doo! Frankencreepy, where a ghost starts to terrorise Scooby and the gang after Velma inherits a castle, and Scooby Doo! Moon Monster Madness, where Scooby Doo and the gang win five seats on a billionaire’s brand new space shuttle and have to unravel a mystery when aliens attack their ship!

New episodes air weekdays at 6pm as part of Laughternoons programming block, from Monday 2nd October.

This October, 12 premiere episodes will be shown as part of Laughternoons. Sure, our favourite teen superheroes still save the day every time, but what happens when they’re not fighting crime? The eclectic clan love to goof off and have fun but they also have to deal with issues of being five teen roommates. While trying to get to California for vacation without telling Clarence, Miss Baker gets trapped in a store with Clarence, the Mayor, Meg (the substitute teacher) and one of Jeff’s mom! If that’s not enough, a storm rages out of control, causing a big flood that threatens the school!

The Amazing World of Gumball

Gumball is a fun loving and mischievous 12-year-old blue cat. Together with his family and best friend Darwin, Gumball heads up hilarious adventures in school and across town. This month, Gumball endures the ultimate test of self-restraint as a mysterious package shows up at the Watterson’s house and they have to do their best to avoid opening it. Lego DC Super Hero Girls: Galactic Wonder: TV Special Premiere

Wonder Woman has won student of the month at Super Hero High again! As a special surprise, Principal Waller has flown in Wonder Woman’s mother, Queen Hippolyta, for a visit, but Queen Hippolyta is not happy with what she finds and demands that Wonder Woman return to school at the island paradise of Themyscira.

Hoping to take her mind off of her troubles with her mother, Batgirl and Supergirl take Wonder Woman to investigate a strange electromagnetic anomaly. Their investigation leads them to the hideout of Lena Luthor where they discover a plot between her and Eclipso to transform the planet into a new version of Gemworld!

The girls will have to split up to find the generators scattered around the planet and destroy them. They’ll also have to overcome Lena’s new breed of mood altering Kryptomites to save the day and convince Queen Hippolyta that Super Hero High is the best school for Wonder Woman!

Cartoon Network’s classic and family friendly animation sister channel – Boomerang will be launching in Taiwan for the first time on Monday 14th November. The pan-Asia-Pacific Boomerang feed is already available in 32 million homes across the region, the Taiwanese launch will expand the channel’s distribution and add an extra 1.6 million Kbro and Taiwan Mobile subscribers to its potential viewership.

From Boomerang’s debut on 14th November, viewers will be able to enjoy classic animation from the likes of Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes and also contemporary shows from Warner Bros. Animation and other independent studios such as Bunnicula, Talking Tom and Friends and also Grizzy and the Lemmings; which has been an kids media industry hit at the MIP Junior convention at Cannes this year.

Viewers in Taiwan will also be able to enjoy episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and watch animated movies on Sundays. Shows will be available in Mandarin Chinese audio and traditional Chinese subtitles. Cartoon Network is already the most popular international kids channel in Taiwan, its logical that Boomerang should follow in Cartoon Network’s footsteps and launch in the country, as Boomerang is Turner’s second most distributed animation channel.

The Boomerang Asia pan-feed originally launched on 1st September 2005, closed in 2012 and was revived on 1st January 2015 replacing Cartoonito Asia. The channel also has an companion mobile app called “Boomerang Watch and Play”, while using the app, people can watch Boomerang shows while playing a series of mini-games.

Boomerang Southeast Asia currently airs a programming block called “Caturdays” as the name suggests, it’s a block of shows featuring Boomerang’s resident cat characters airing on Saturdays: the block features episodes of Tom and Jerry, Silvester and Tweety, Pink Panther and Pals and The Garfield Show. Turner Asia-Pacific promoted “Caturdays” as a programming feature for the channel’s launch in Taiwan.

Boomerang, Turner’s global kids’ brand and companion channel to Cartoon Network, is now available in Taiwan for the first time.

With an additional 1.6 million subscribers across Kbro and Taiwan Mobile platforms, the agreement increases the channel’s distribution in Asia Pacific to 32 million households since the channel’s relaunch in late 2014.

From November 14, the all-animation network will have both Mandarin audio and traditional Chinese subtitles, boasting an impressive line-up of new series and movies programmed for both kids and their families.

In addition to the ever-popular Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes, new shows include Bunnicula, Talking Tom and the hilarious Grizzy and the Lemmings – the most-talked-about animated series at MIP Junior in Cannes last month. Other channel highlights in November feature new episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Sunday movies with Barbie and Tom and Jerry.

To complement the on-air offering regionally, Boomerang Watch and Play hosts both video and gaming content in a safe and fun app designed for tablets.

Boomerang, the classic cartoon sister channel of Cartoon Network has launched in Malaysia on the HyppTV IPTV platform, with a free two month preview for all HyppTV customers that started from its launch date on Saturday 1st August. Boomerang is a channel full of animation with household names and contemporary cartoons for kids and families. The channel offers both exclusive and first-run content including remakes and new episodes of timeless favourites from Cartoon Network’s and Warner Bros’. properties such as Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo. Boomerang also airs both modern and classic acquisitions including Garfield, Pink Panther, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, Mr. Bean, Inspector Gadget, DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST and DreamWorks’ two Dragons series: Dreamworks Dragons: Riders of Berk and Dreamworks Dragons: Defenders of Berk. The version of Boomerang received in Malaysia is Boomerang Southeast Asia, which relaunched on 1st January 2015.

The channel is available in two languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a demographic of kids aged 4-9 as well as their families and anyone who loves animation most particularly classic cartoons. Boomerang will be very soon airing new productions from Warner Bros. Animation such as the new Bugs Bunny series, Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production and Bunnicula, a story of a vegetarian vampire rabbit based on the children’s book series written by James Howe.

Boomerang Southeast Asia is part of HyppTV’s Jumbo Pack and will also be available á-la-carte. A Boomerang app for mobile devices with both video and game content is currently in the planning stages.
