The First Ever Adult Swim Festival Expands Its Lineup With 24 Additional Music And Comedy Acts

The first ever Adult Swim Festival will debut in Los Angeles on 6th to 7th October and Adult Swim has announced an additional 24 musical and comedy artists that will be performing at the festival. Hip-hop group – Run The Jewels already announced they will be at the festival. Adult Swim announced the festival back in March along with an animated Rick and Morty music video with music by Run the Jewels and animation by Studio Yotta. The Adult Swim Festival adds to Adult Swim’s already successful lineup of events including Adult Swim on the Green, the Rickmobile tour and the Mr. Pickles Thrashtacular heavy metal concert tour.

Adult Swim has been expanding into music more lately with its annual singles programme and with the use of its own record label – Williams Street Records. Adult Swim has always been known for its humour, so the next logical move was to host a festival combining music and comedy.

Music and Comedy acts will include: Big Freedia, BOSCO, Chad VanGaalen, Code Orange, Com Truise, Dan Deacon, Nick Rutherford, DAWN, On Cinema Live Featuring Dekkar & DKR, High On Fire, IDK, Julianna Barwick, Kitty, Shigeto, Sound Of Ceres, Thundercat, Unknown Hinson, Wavves, Zola Jesus, Ahmed Bharoocha, Hannibal Buress, Jo Firestone, Jena Friedman and Joe Pera.

In addition to the acts, festival attendees will have access to a marketplace which will include interactive gaming, exclusive merchandise and local food vendors.

Pre-sale for Weekend Passes, Preview Night and Single Day Passes for fans over the age of 18 are available for sale now. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow (Friday 18th May) at 9am PST/12pm EST. Payment plans are also available, so fans can buy now and pay the rest later.
