For this week’s episode of Cartoon Network This Week, Sam and Rupert take their show on the road and check out the Cartoon Network On The Green outdoor event at the SXSW (South By Southwest) media festival in Austin, Texas. The event was held last Monday (12th March). At the event, Sam talked with young cartoon fans about their favourite shows, interviews Robin from Teen Titans Go! and also Ben 10’s Ben Tennyson and Four Arms.
Sam also made an attempt at screaming in the Teen Titans Go! To The Movies scream booth, the best scream will be featured in the movie. Also at the event was the Ben 10 Wheel of Fortune, where Ben 10 fans can spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes. 3,700 people attended the event, all of which enjoyed free food and exclusive screenings of some upcoming episodes, including the brand new Cartoon Network original series – Craig of the Creek.
Cartoon Network On The Green At SXSW Last Night 12th March 2018
Last night (12th March) Cartoon Network USA hosted a special event called “Cartoon Network On The Green” at the SXSW (South By Southwest) media festival in Austin, Texas. The event started at 6.30pm yesterday evening and was held outside the Long Center For The Performing Arts located in downtown Austin.
At special free event, families got to see a sneak peek of Cartoon Network’s upcoming show – Craig of the Creek before its television premiere, sneak peeks of Ben 10 and Unikitty! and an exclusive never-before-seen look of the upcoming theatrical movie – Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. The sneak peeks were shown on an outdoor cinema screen and big balloons featuring Cartoon Network’s most popular characters surrounded the screening area, there were also giveaways, activities and also free food (including popsicles).
The Teen Titans – Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beastboy were also at the event welcoming and meeting fans, some fans even cosplayed as the Teen Titans. Gumball and Darwin from The Amazing World of Gumball were there too, as well as Ben 10’s Ben Tennyson and Four Arms.
In addition to the Teen Titans Go! To The Movies sneak peek at SXSW, Warner Bros. Animation has announced that Nicolas Cage will be voicing the infamous superhero – Superman in the new movie and singer/songwriter Halsey will voicing Wonder Woman and rapper Lil Yachty will be playing the role of Green Lantern. Teen Titans Go! To The Movies will be released in cinemas in the United States on Friday 27th July, in the UK, the movie will released in cinemas on Friday 3rd August 2018.
Cartoon Network USA Cartoon Network This Week Episode 5 OK, K-WHOA!
In this week’s edition of Cartoon Network USA’s weekly news YouTube show – Cartoon Network This Week, Sam checks out the brand new OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes mobile game – “Dynamite’s Action News”, which will be released on Monday 12th March for iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices. In the new free game, players take on the role of Dynamite Watkins, an explosive reporter who investigates mysteries and fights crime in a 1980’s cyberpunk environment. The brand new game is developed by Wake Robin Games, the small three person studio won the contract to develop the game after winning Cartoon Network’s first ever Game Jam, a game development event in Portland, Oregon in 2016. Also the game was showcased at the PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) East convention in March 2017.
Cartoon Network will be hosting a special screening event at SXSW in Austin, Texas on Monday 12th March, if you live in the Austin, Texas area or just visiting the city, the special event will certainly be worth checking out, as there will be exclusive sneak peeks and also an exclusive never-before-seen look at the new movie coming out this summer – Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.
