Other Cartoon Network Related Events At San Diego Comic Con 2018

Outside of Cartoon Network’s core events which mostly focuses on the channel’s original programming, there are some other related events at San Diego Comic Con 2018 that are not organised by Cartoon Network, but is related to the channel in one way or another, the channel airs third-party programming (for example – Lego) or programming from its sister studio – Warner Bros. Animation.

On Sunday 22nd July at 10.30am to 11.30am in Room 6A at the San Diego Convention Center, there will be a panel for Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, attending the panel are Tommy Andreasen (co-creator/producer) and Michael Svane Knap (LEGO senior design manager), lead writer Bragi Schut, voice talents Brent Miller (voice of Zane), Kelly Metzger (voice of Nya) and Vincent Tong (voice of Kai).


On Friday 20th July at 2.15pm to 3.15pm, there will be a panel for the upcoming video game – LEGO DC Super-Villains with Arthur Parsons (head of design, TT Games) and fan-favorite Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, along with Tara Strong (voice of Harley Quinn), Julie Nathanson (voice of Silver Banshee), Fred Tatasciore (voice of Solomon Grundy, Clayface, Black Adam, Killer Croc), Ames Kirshen (VP, Interactive & Animation, DC Entertainment), Justin Ramsden (Designer, Super Heroes, The LEGO Group) and moderator Andrea Rene (What’s Good Games). The new game is developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and The LEGO Group, the game is expected to be released on 16th October.


Also on Friday 20th July at 12pm and at 2pm at the Horton Grand Theatre, there will be a chance to see the new movie – Teen Titans Go! To the Movies before its general cinema release.



On Sunday 22nd July between 12.15pm and 1.30pm in Room 6BCF will be the world premiere of the animated movie – DC Super Hero Girls: Legends of Atlantis. The movie is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment, and the LEGO Group and will be released on 2nd October on Digital and DVD in the United States.


At the convention, there will be an exclusive Apocalypseburg Unikitty Lego minifigure from the upcoming Lego Movie sequel – The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. The minifigure will be given away as a prize in San Diego Comic-Con’s Online Exclusives Portal lottery.

Today (19th July), Cartoon Network Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the sequel to the successful Teeny Titans mobile game – “Teen Titans Go Figure!”. Just like Teeny Titans, the new game will involve battling and collecting figures. In the game, players can play as one of the Teen Titans (Robin, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg or Beast Boy). As a Teen Titan, the player must search for clues, battle and travel to the different cities in the DC Universe to find out why the Justice League want to close down the Teeny Titans Figure Company. Unfortunately, the game is not available in Europe at the moment, the game studio that developed the game – Grumpyface Studios is currently working on the game to make sure it complies to EU GDPR data protection rules.

The game uses a three-on-three battling system, characters can be switched by tapping, in order to be successful during battles, the player must use the right character’s moves and at the right moments.

The brand new game costs $3.99 on Google Play, iTunes App Store and the Amazon App Store, however, there are some in-app purchases will range from $0.99 – $9.99 per item, but the purpose of these in-app purchases is to allow the player to advance the game quicker, everything can be obtained in normal gameplay. The brand new game has been released ahead of the release of Teen Titans Go! To The Movies which will be released in cinemas across the United States next Friday (23rd July), for other countries, please see the list below.

Cartoon Network UK Teen Titans Go! Summer Starts 23rd July

To mark the official start of the school summer holidays on Monday 23rd July, Cartoon Network UK will be airing a whole block of Teen Titans Go! episodes every day from 9am until 11am. Every single episode of Teen Titans Go! aired so far in the UK will air in the block and it will be an opportunity to watch some episodes you may of missed or never watched before. Follow the hilarious misadventures of the superhero group – Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beastboy and Cyborg and see what antics they get up while being regular teenagers usually when not saving their hometown – Jump City, but when they do, they’re usually get caught up in a completely ridiculous situation. Also, two new special episodes of Teen Titans Go! will air on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August at 9am.

On Saturday 4th August at 9am, Cartoon Network UK will premiere the two part “Kabooms” episode special (also known as the Teen Titans Go! Hollywood Special on Cartoon Network USA). In part one of “Kabooms”, the Titans are excited to see the movie version of their favorite show “Babies vs Dogs”, in part two, the Titans decide to make a big Hollywood film of their own after being inspired by the movie.

On Sunday 5th August at 9am, Cartoon Network UK will premiere the two part episode – “The Streak”, where Robin aims to continue his streak of stopping 52 crimes (one a week) every year.

The marathon also coincides with the cinema release of Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, which will be released in cinemas across the UK on Friday 3rd August.
