Great news for creek kids everywhere, one of Cartoon Network’s latest hit shows – Craig of the Creek has been renewed for a second season, which means more imaginative adventures at the creek with Craig and his friends J.P. and Kelsey. The show has been held in high regard for its nostalgic childhood stories, episode storylines and relatable characters. The show has ranked in the top ten cable television premieres for boys aged between six and eleven years old and has been critically acclaimed by The Los Angeles Times for its “power of imagination” and by business publication – Fast Company for its “attention to inclusion and positive representation of minorities”. The show is co-created by three-time Emmy-nominated Steven Universe writers Matt Burnett and Ben Levin and is produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California. The show was developed through the studio’s renowned Global Artists Programme which has outputted many Emmy award winning shows and has kick-started the careers of talented show creators and animators.

In May this year, the show was awarded a Common Sense Seal by Common Sense Media because of the diversity of its characters and inclusion of minorities. Common Sense Media awards television shows (or any form of media marketed towards children) if they have a positive social message for children and whether the content has positive role models or/and educational content.

The new season of Craig of the Creek will premiere on Cartoon Network USA in 2019, but there’s still new episodes from season one to air, season one of Craig of the Creek will continue from Monday 20th August, the new episodes will premiere on weekdays at 4pm ET/PT on the Cartoon Network USA television channel and are available on the Cartoon Network app and on various pay-TV providers’ VOD and on-demand streaming platforms.

Cartoon Network’s hit original series Craig of the Creek is heading for more adventures with Craig, J.P. and Kelsey and a season two greenlight. Since its debut earlier this year, the groundbreaking show has been celebrated for the trio’s creative and imaginative escapades and spurred a groundswell of excitement from critics, fans across social media, and beyond. Craig of the Creek has also tapped into an emotional sense of nostalgia for audiences and connected with viewers through its relatable characters and universal storylines. The top 10 cable series in premieres among boys 6 – 11 has been hailed for its “attention to inclusion and positive representation of minorities” by Fast Company and by The Los Angeles Times for its “power of imagination.”

Craig of the Creek follows the precocious Craig as he leads his best friends J.P. and Kelsey on comical journeys at their neighborhood creek, transforming everyday afternoons into thrilling expeditions through imaginative play. Beginning Monday, August 20, new episodes from the current season will premiere weekdays at 4 p.m. (ET/PT) and are available on the Cartoon Network app and various TV providers’ VOD and on-demand streaming platforms.

Co-created by three-time Emmy-nominated Steven Universe writers Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, Craig of the Creek is executive produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The show was developed through the studio’s global Artists Program known for creating a pipeline of critically acclaimed, Emmy-winning shows and serving as a talent incubator for gifted animators.

TBS’s And Adult Swim’s Final Space Renewed For A Second Season

TBS’s latest animated hit – Final Space has been renewed for a second season, the serialised intergalactic space adventure-comedy series has reached more than twenty million viewers on TBS’s linear and digital platforms as well as video-on-demand services in the United States. The animated series follows an astronaut named Gary and his friend – Mooncake, an adorable alien with the powerful ability to destroy planets. On their journey, they make new friends and expand their team, together they embark on a quest to unlock the mystery of “Final Space”, the place where the universe ends.

Final Space is created by filmmaker/actor/comedian Olan Rogers and is co-written and executive produced by David Sacks, who previously served as an executive producer on Nickelodeon’s Pig Goat Banana Cricket. The show is now getting international distribution as it will premiere on Turner’s TNT Comedy channel in Germany on 15th May.

The show is produced by Conan O’Brien’s Conaco and New Form in association with Turner’s in-house studio – Studio T, the show also airs on Cartoon Network USA’s adult-focused nighttime block – Adult Swim. An AR (augmented reality) app has been released based on the series and a VR (Virtual Reality) pilot episode is currently in development. Today (07/12/2017), Cartoon Network USA has announced that OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes has been renewed for a second season, new episodes of Cartoon Network’s latest animated action-comedy show will premiere in 2018. In season two, K.O. will continue his journey to become the world’s greatest hero along with his new friends Enid and Rad, also Lakewood Plaza Turbo will be facing new threats from new villains. There will be more special crossover episodes featuring surprise heroes, much like the Captain Planet episode that aired in October and the new season will provide the usual action and comedy that the fans of the show love.

In addition to the show’s renewal, Cartoon Network Games and Capybara Games has released a trailer for the new video game based on the animated series – OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes. The game will be released sometime in early 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for Windows PC via the Steam game distribution platform. OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is an action brawler game with RPG elements, the game features all the familiar characters from the show, including the show’s main antagonist – Lord Boxman, in the game, players will also be able to collect POW Cards which can be leveled up to gain new abilities.

Cartoon Network’s OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes is levelling up for a second season, set to premiere in 2018. Created by Ian Jones-Quartey OK K.O.! is a dynamic storytelling universe at the nexus of gaming and animation. Developed in tandem with the series, OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is the upcoming console video game and the first official trailer is now available for fans here.

Season two will be even more heroic for K.O., Enid and Rad as they continue to level up with all new adventures. There are new threats and villains on the horizon as mysteries of Lakewood Plaza Turbo begin to reveal themselves. Surprise heroes will also make their debut alongside some familiar faces in special crossover episodes that will kick up the action, laughter and comedy into maximum drive.

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is published by Cartoon Network, developed by Capybara Games and written in collaboration with series creator Jones-Quartey. This latest video shows off the many familiar characters fans can expect to see, as well as the game’s colorful blend of side-scrolling action and RPG elements. When Lord Boxman resets the card levels of every hero in Lakewood Plaza, it’s up to K.O. to help his friends and secure his place as a true hero. Battle Lord Boxman’s evil robot army in fast-paced brawls, explore the mall to find quests to complete, and level up special POW cards for new abilities to put the pain on Lord Boxman’s most diabolical scheme yet.

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is expected to launch on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam in 2018.
