Steven Universe Save The Light Coming To Game Consoles This Summer

This week, Cartoon Network Games has announced that they will be releasing a brand new game based on the popular Cartoon Network show – Steven Universe this summer. The new game will be called “Steven Universe: Save The Light” and will be the first time that a game based on the show will be released for game consoles. The game is also a sequel to the action role-playing mobile game Steven Universe: Attack the Light.

In Steven Universe: Save The Light, Steven and his Crystal Gems teammates are on a quest to retrieve a powerful and magical weapon that has gone missing from Beach City, in order to get the weapon, they must fight for it back. The console RPG features an original story written by Steven Universe creator – Rebecca Sugar, it also features real-time and turn-based gameplay, customisable battle parties (select four of your favourite characters) and puzzles. When compared to the actual show, the new game has a more “cutified”, softer and outline-less art style.

The game is developed by Grumpyface Studios, the same game developer that made Steven Universe: Attack The Light, Teeny Titans and Powerpuff Girls: Flipped Out. The new game is on demonstration (alongside another new console game from Cartoon Network Games and Capybara Games – OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes) at the PAX East (Penny Arcade Expo) gaming convention in Boston, Massachusetts this weekend (10/03/2017 – 12/03/2017). No exact release date has been announced yet, but it will be released sometime this summer.

Cartoon Network At MCM Comic Con In London: Adventure Time Comic Con Quest

The MCM Comic Con convention at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London started today and Cartoon Network is there to give visitors (or adventurers) an Adventure Time themed quest. The quest starts from the Forbidden Planet stand where adventurers are “bestowed” a scroll of challenges and questions. People who are “algebraic” enough to complete the quest will win an Adventure Time medal. Only the first 200 visitors each day that want to take part in the quest will be given a scroll. Cartoon Network also have their own merchandise stall at the convention. MCM London Comic Con is the largest convention in the UK that celebrates pop culture which encompasses: TV Shows, Movies, Comic Books, Video Games, Western Animation and Anime. MCM London Comic Con will be running from today until Sunday (23/10/2015 – 25/10/2015).

Cartoon Network Games At Pax Prime In Seattle

Cartoon Network Games is currently at the Penny Arcade Expo Prime (PAX Prime) video game convention in Seattle, Washington, USA. Visitors at the convention can go to the Cartoon Network Games stand where they can play the latest Adventure Time game called “Game Wizard”, the game will soon be released on Android, iOS and Kindle Fire devices this winter and is developed on behalf of Cartoon Network by Pixel Press.

The PAX Prime video game convention will run from 29th August to 1st September.
