Cartoon Network And Nintendo Partner For We Bare Bears Themed Marketing Campaign

Major Japanese video-game company – Nintendo has partnered with Cartoon Network USA for a marketing campaign to help promote games for their latest video games console – the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has uploaded videos onto its YouTube channel featuring the three tech and social media loving bears – Grizzy, Panda and Ice Bear from We Bare Bears trying out two of Nintendo’s newest games – the unusual motion control boxing game ARMS and the fun multiplayer ink-splat shooter – Splatoon 2. The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid game console, it can be used as as portable device or as a conventional console. Much like Cartoon Network, Nintendo is known for its family-friendly entertainment, making it an ideal partnership. Remember, games are supposed to be fun, please don’t be a sore loser like Nom Nom. 😀

Personally, as a Nintendo Switch owner and a Cartoon Network fan, the advertising campaign is pretty cool. 🙂

Cartoon Network Enterprises At Brand Licencing Europe 13th-15th October

During this week (13/10/2015-15/10/2015) was the Brand Licencing Europe convention in London and Cartoon Network Enterprises was there to promote their shows to potential licensees, Cartoon Network’s current hot property is Adventure Time which has been an international success and has been licensed out to nearly 100 companies. Adventure Time products are already popular in the UK, Russia, Poland, Hungary and Spain. Italy, France, Germany and Benelux will be the next markets to target for Adventure Time merchandise.

We are already aware of Cartoon Network’s clothing deals with H&M, Primark, Desigual and the Adventure Time themed Dr. Martens boots range that launched earlier this year. Russian retailer TVOE is also preparing their range of Adventure Time clothing as part of its Autumn/Winter 2015 fashion collection. TVOE first introduced a small range of Adventure Time clothing products earlier in the year and became its biggest selling licensed product range.

Igor Yushkevich, president of TVOE Group made this statement regarding being a licensee for Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time:

“Adventure Time’s originality, quirky humor and fascinating characters translate exceptionally well into fashion products and we’re confident that the latest collection will be a hit with our consumers.”

Retailers such as Springfield in Spain, Defacto in Turkey and Polish retailers LPP, House, Reserved Kids and Mr Gugu are currently selling Adventure Time themed clothing. Little Orbit’s and Namco Bandai’s Finn and Jake Investigations, will be available in game retailers later this month and the Cartoon Network zone within the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park in Dubai is currently under construction and will open next year.
