Cartoon Network Enterprises Asia Pacific has partnered with well known Indian fashion designer – Nandita Mahtani to launch a clothing collection based on classic Cartoon Network shows from the channel’s first decade – the 1990’s.

The Cartoon Network and Nandita Mahtani capsule collection is inspired by The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Samurai Jack. Nandita Mahtani held an exclusive special preview at Sancho’s in Mumbai, India on Friday last week (Friday 5th April) to unveil the collection. The fashion collection combines animated 90’s nostalgia with high-end fashion house clothing.

Each Nandita Mahtani design features a mix of intricate hand embroidery, sequins, beads and embellishments with a vibrant range of neon pop colours. The fashion collection includes slip dresses, skirts, bomber, zipper and denim jackets and sweat-shirts and many more. The collection also includes a men’s capsule, which has pop-art prints, characters and beaded lettering. Each creatively designed fashion piece depicts the original “Cartoon Cartoons”* characters produced by Cartoon Network. The clothing collection has target age of 16 to 60 years old. A children’s clothing collection is also in the works. In the second half of 2019, the collection will be available in retail and online stores.

Cartoon Network Enterprises has partnered with well-known Indian designer, Nandita Mahtani, to launch a stunning clothing collection that celebrates Cartoon Network toons from the 1990s.

The Cartoon Network x Nandita Mahtani capsule collection is inspired by The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Samurai Jack. Nandita Mahtani held an exclusive preview at Sancho’s, Mumbai, on April 5, to unveil the collection. This one-of-a kind association captures the nostalgia and timelessness of these cartoons using high-end fashion, with a focus on unique designs.

The Nandita Mahtani x Cartoon Network collection is an amalgamation of all things fun with exclusive elements designed in true Nandita Mahtani style. Each of the silhouettes is a mix of playful elements that have come together through intricate hand embroidery, sequins, beads and embellishments in vibrant neon pop colours.

Cartoon Network Enterprises are continuing their partnership with pan-Asian discount retailer – Miniso to launch a huge 264-item Adventure Time product range in its stores across 62 international territories. Miniso will be stocking plush toys, stationary, gifts and accessories featuring the characters of Adventure Time including Jake, Finn, BMO and Lumpy Space Princess. The new Adventure Time product range will be sold alongside Miniso’s existing range of We Bare Bears branded products.

Miniso has recently expanded in other parts of the world including Australia, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Nigeria and South Africa. The retailer has also made a recent expansion into Europe. All of Miniso’s international stores will be stocking the new Adventure Time merchandise.

Today (30th January), Turner International has announced that the Vice President of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) – Johanne Broadfield now has an expanded role covering Cartoon Network’s international licensing division outside the United States. Johanne will continue to run Turner’s licensing activities in the EMEA region, which includes product licensing, promotions, publishing, home entertainment, location-based entertainment, live events and retail development.

In addition to her existing responsibilities, she will now work closely with other two international regions – Asia-Pacific and Latin America. As part of her newly expanded international job role, Johanne will be working with Pablo Zuccarino, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cartoon Network Latin America and also Vikram Sharma – Vice President of Cartoon Network Enterprises Asia Pacific. Johanne will be based at Turner’s EMEA headquarters in London, which houses several of Turner International’s business functions and will continue to report to Giorgio Stock – the President of Turner EMEA.

Before working for Turner, Johanne worked for toy company Mattel, while at Mattel she had various job roles such as Senior Director for Continental Europe and Senior Director for UK, Eastern Europe and Canada. She was also head of Fisher-Price’s European Consumer Products division and before then she was publishing director at magazine publishing company – Burda Medien in Germany.

Johanne Broadfield has assumed a wider remit within Turner International’s Licensing and Merchandising business, becoming Vice President of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA & International Strategy. The announcement was made today by Giorgio Stock, President of Turner EMEA, to whom she reports.

In this expanded role, Broadfield will continue to oversee Turner’s licensing activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a business unit that includes product licensing, promotions, publishing, home entertainment, location-based entertainment, live events and retail development for Turner’s portfolio of globally-recognised brands. In addition, she will be responsible for Turner’s international licensing strategy, partnering with the US in shaping the global view for key decision making, and takes on joint responsibility for the P&L of Cartoon Network licensing activities across Latin America, along with Pablo Zuccarino, SVP & GM, Kids Latin America. She will also work in close partnership with Vikram Sharma, VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises, Asia Pacific in a strategic capacity.

Broadfield joined Turner EMEA in February 2014 from Mattel, where she held various leadership positions in the Consumer Products division during her 10-year tenure, including Senior Director for Continental Europe and Senior Director for UK, Eastern Europe and Canada. She also headed up the Fisher-Price Consumer Products division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Mattel, Johanne was Publishing Director at Burda Medien in Germany, where she led the international fashion and magazine business.
