Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific Acquires Broadcasting Rights For New Mr Magoo Animated Series
Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific has acquired the broadcasting rights for the brand new Mr Magoo animated series. Mr. Magoo will air on Cartoon Network feeds in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and India in 2018. The new series follows the adventures of Mister Magoo, a friendly elderly man who often gets into all-sorts of mishaps due to his poor eyesight and mistakes what he sees. A disaster is waiting to happen every time he loses his glasses, although he’s oblivious to what’s actually happening, he often escapes unharmed. The classic cartoon character already had several TV series and specials and even a live-action comedy movie which was released in 1997. The brand new series is made by French animation studio – Xilam, known for producing animated series such as Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig & Sharko.
Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific will air a total of 78 episodes each with a runtime of seven minutes. Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific has already acquired the broadcasting rights for seasons six and seven of Oggy and the Cockroaches which will also air on Cartoon Network in the Asia-Pacific region next year.

Cartoon Network Arabic Now Using Dimensional Rebrand Graphics
According to a new continuity uploaded onto YouTube yesterday (23/05/2017), Cartoon Network Arabic is now using graphics from the Dimensional rebrand package such as promo endboards and logo animations, the channel is also using musical instrument themed bumpers featuring characters from Adventure Time, Uncle Grandpa, The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show and Steven Universe. Justice League Action is also coming soon to Cartoon Network Arabic. Cartoon Network Arabic’s yearly competition – Ramadan Riddles is back for 2017, everyday during regular programming, a code to a riddle will be revealed, enter the code on the Ramadan Riddles section of the Cartoon Network Arabic website for a chance to win prizes.
Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil New New New Promo
Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil has been airing a promo for their latest show – Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, the promo features a translated/localised version of Cartoon Network USA’s New New New endboard. Also Cartoon Network Latin America has signed a broadcasting rights deal with Xilam Animation for season five of Oggy and The Cockroaches, in season five, there is a total of 78 episodes, each episode is seven minutes long.
Boing Spain is currently casting for kids to take part in their new gameshow – Ben 10 Challenge. The gameshow features a series of Ben 10 themed challenges and puzzles which require mental and physical abilities and features many of the villains from the Ben 10 show. The show is the ultimate experience for Ben 10 fans and just like Ben, Gwen and Grandpa Max in the Ben 10 series, all entrants must have a team of two children and one adult. Casting applications are done by telephone, only the team’s adult can apply to enter, telephone applications will end on Wednesday 31st May 2017. The Casting team will be contacting applicants throughout the selection process, those who are successful at this stage will have a face-to-face interview, after this stage, successful teams will be contacted by telephone. The show will be recorded in June in Madrid, Spain.

Cartoon Network Asia Pacific Acquires Oggy And The Cockroaches Season 6 And 7
Turner Asia-Pacific have acquired the broadcasting rights to Season 6 and 7 of Xilam Animation’s Oggy and The Cockroaches. More information about season six and seven has also been released. The new seasons of Oggy And The Cockroaches will be made in 4K screen resolution and will air on Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Pogo feeds across the Asia-Pacific region. The new deal secures Turner’s rights over the show, after also acquiring the fifth season last December.
In season five, Oggy and the Cockroaches will travel back in time and meet historical and mythological figures such as Caesar, Leonardo da Vinci and the Cyclops. Seasons 6 and 7 will be a mixture of brand-new episodes with full remakes of classic episodes from the first two seasons, all produced in 4K.
