Cartoon Network App Now Available On Apple TV And Amazon Fire TV
Turner USA has partnered with You.i to adapt the Cartoon Network app onto Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV platforms, allowing users to use the app on their television rather than just on a mobile phone or tablet. The app allows kids to watch their favourite animated shows anytime they like. The app’s main centerpiece is “The Mix” playlist maker, allowing the user to create a playlist of shows, video clips and other original content. The app is also available for Android, iOS and Amazon Fire mobile devices.
Also using the app, Cartoon Network fans also get to see new full episodes ahead of their linear TV premiere, thanks to the collaboration with You.i, it’s now possible to see the new episodes on your very own television set.
The Cartoon Network App uses the You.i Engine which is also used on other apps operated by Turner including FilmStruck, TNT and TBS. The system allows Cartoon Network to make fast and immediate changes including program lineups, deliver promotional or public service messages or in-app advertising.
Chris Waldron, Vice President at Cartoon Network Digital made this statement in regards of bringing the Cartoon Network app to the TV:
“Giving kids the best experience possible and a fun dynamic way to watch their favorite shows on all screens is core to our strategy, Working with You.i TV on bringing the Cartoon Network App to TV is enabling us to continue to be the ultimate destination for kids when it comes to digital and mobile entertainment.”
