Cartoon Network Latin America’s YouTube Account Reaches The One Million Subscribers Mark
Cartoon Network Latin America’s YouTube channel has reached the one million subscriber mark, to celebrate, a special Gracias (Thank You in Spanish) video was uploaded onto Cartoon Network Latin America’s YouTube channel, the video features characters from The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go!, We Bare Bears, Mighty Magiswords and Clarence celebrating.
Also in the video, the creators of many of Cartoon Network’s shows said thanks to the fans, including Kyle Carrozza – creator of Mighty Magiswords, Daniel Chong – creator of We Bare Bears, Adventure Time’s executive producer – Adam Muto, Rebecca Sugar – creator of Steven Universe and Ian Jones-Quartey – creator of Cartoon Network’s upcoming show OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. The special video also features brief mentions of Toontubers, a series of let’s play videos featuring Regular Show’s Mordecai and Rigby, the mockumentary show Otra Semana En Cartoon (Another Week On Cartoon) and Cartoon Network Anything.
Toonami France now has its very own YouTube channel, the YouTube channel is filled with video clips of Toonami’s animated action programming including Dragon Ball Super, Batman, Fantastic Four and Iron Man. Aimed at children between ages 8 and 12, Toonami is Cartoon Network France’s all-action animation TV channel featuring superhero cartoons from DC Comics and Marvel as well as action movies, the channel also has a VOD (video-on-demand) service called Toonami Max.
Cartoon Network Africa The Powerpuff Girls Special Weekend 28th And 29th January
Cartoon Network Africa will be having a special Powerpuff Girls weekend, airing from 10.40am CAT on Saturday 28th January and 4.30pm CAT on Sunday 29th January on DStv channel 301. The two day stunt that’s filled with Sugar, Spice and everything nice will feature brand new episodes highlighting the special abilities of the three Powerpuff Girls – Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. The special weekend follows on from the launch of Cartoon Network’s Powfactor campaign which has gone global since its launch last year.
Cartoon Network updated the Powerpuff Yourself avatar maker last November to include a Powfactor personality quiz along with additional avatar customisation features. People who complete the Powfactor quiz can find out their “secret ingredient” which makes them heroic and unique. Since its launch last April, the Powerpuff Yourself avatar maker has been a success on social media with a total of over 12 million Powerpuff-style avatars created.
